如今，當人們再次提起孝時，會想起你對父母所做的一切嗎？會想到最美孝心少年們為父母做出的事情嗎？父母是這個世界上唯一愛你卻不求回報，唯一為你付出卻從不說后悔的人。誰沒有父母？誰沒有老去的那一天？孝敬父母是道德的開始，一個人的修養與品德從孝開始。

郯子的父母年老體衰，得了眼疾，需要飲用鹿乳才能進行療治。他便披鹿皮進入深山，鉆進鹿群中，擠取鹿乳，供奉雙親。一次取乳時，看見獵人正要射殺一只麂鹿，郯子急忙掀起鹿皮現身走出，將擠取鹿乳為雙親醫病的實情告知獵人，獵人敬他孝順，以鹿乳相贈，護送他出山。

每個人的家不同，對孝的理解不同，所做出的行動不同。或許在一個完整幸福的家庭，孝就是讓家里的每一個人開心；而在一個殘缺的家庭里，孝便是讓年幼的孩子承擔起不該他們這個年齡所承擔的事務。
